| Course Purpose |
To develop a general understanding of the AutoMax Distributed Power System Hardware and to acquire the necessary skills to interrogate the AutoMax processors for information needed to troubleshoot the system. Hands-on exercises are provided to demonstrate the procedure for monitoring and loading the AutoMax processors and to locate the necessary points for voltage measurement. |
| Course Objectives |
Upon completion of this course, you will experience and should be able to:
- Identify specific hardware in the AutoMax rack
- Understand the functions of AutoMax hardware
- Distinguish the functions of AutoMax hardware
- Identify the variable types and scope found in AutoMax
- Differentiate the types of tasks in AutoMax
- Utilize the off-line and on-line user screens with a computer
- Monitor, edit, upload and download AutoMax programs
- Employ local, remote I/O and network communications
- Perform basic troubleshooting techniques

| Prerequisites |
Those using AutoMax in a D-C drive application should have some experience with the AutoMax system prior to the class. This course will assume that the attendees have a familiarity with test equipment and some knowledge of a drive system. |
